Sometimes I just have to stop and pinch myself…..My job is so rewarding, so amazing, so much FUN! It is couples like Anna and John that make me smile from ear to ear! This wedding was such a blast! I am totally honored to have captured their wedding day. I wish everyone in the world could witness their love not only for each other, but for everyone around them. It was truly beautiful. They had some seriously fun folks in the bridal parties as well :) I hope you two have an amazing honeymoon and enjoy your sneak peek. You are an amazing example of what true love really is. The wedding was beautiful just like the two of you!

dog pile!!!

anna was such a STUNNING bride!! Everyone had to just stop and gasp at her in her amazing gown!

all the bridesmaids with their super cute shoes!!

the wedding had such an organic feel to it…..it was so beautiful and the colors were so different than any combinations I have ever photographed. Love seeing the bride and groom make the day all their own and a representation of who they are as a couple.

having some fun with the ring shots…John had not seen his ring prior to the ceremony, and I could not get over how crazy in love with it he was! Good choice, Anna!

LOVED THIS CAKE!!!

The bottom of the cake was amazing….had written all around it places they have been together and memories they have shared. totally unique!!

Love this shot during the ceremony….being a flower girl is tough work, and everyone deserves a break :)

this shot just makes me smile!

Thirteen years ago today a very shy, very sweet, red headed guy asked me to be his “girlfriend.” We spent the next four years of high school side by side. Having fun, making memories, and even getting voted “couple most likely to get married” by our senior class. We have grown, explored, and loved each other each and every day. I have now been with my love half of my life. Nothing makes me happier than to be his wife. To wake up next to my dusty porch and fall asleep next to him every night. He is my best friend, the love of my life, and the amazing father to our little sunflower. Babes, I am so glad you held the door open for me after our basketball game 13 years ago. That you helped me to my seat and carried my bag while I was on crutches that night. That you called me later that evening and waited until the very last second on the phone to blurt out the fastest sentence in the world. “if you want to be my girlfriend, I would love for you to be” I am so glad I agreed. You are my love. always.

we were 15 in this photo…..can’t believe what baby’s we were!!

and now…not 15 anymore, but we secretly still act like teenagers :)

and our baby girl….would have never believed we would grow up and create our little love, Auburn! Looking forward to the next 13 year and the rest of forever with you, Babes!

{baby cannon, one month old!}

It was such a pleasure to meet little cannon! He is such a handsome little guy, one month old today! He was so good to me during our session and I got some of my favorite “awake” baby shots in a very long time. Cannon was all about the snuggles – as long as he was warm and by the little heater, he was just fine! He loved sitting in one of my baskets I use for a prop and looking out the window. Just the sweetest little guy! It was such a pleasure meeting the three of you – and i can’t wait to work with you all more. Thanks so much for choosing Art and Soul – and congrats on your beautiful baby boy!! Enjoy your sneak peek and give cannon an extra hug for me! He just stole my heart!

The happy family!

cannon has the most beautiful blue eyes!!

with daddy…

It does not get any sweeter than this….

I adore this family shot!!!

What she lacks in experience she makes up in ADORABLE!

Here’s hoping she would really love to shoot with her momma someday…She will probably be tired of cameras around all the time :)

Heather, her mom, and I had the BEST time shooting her bridals last week! We made the trip up to Guthrie and shot at the Scottish Rite. It was AMAZING! I could not believe all the wonderful rooms, antique furniture and amazing windows that were all around! It was a photographers dream! Heather is such a calm and loving bride. She is fun and full of energy, and also kind and a classic beauty. I just can’t wait for the wedding that is coming up so soon! We are going to have so much fun! Thanks to Heather’s mom too….she came along for the bridals and was a huge help and wonderful “dress fixer” Enjoy your sneak peek girls! See you soon!

still madly in love with my fisheye lens….Love this shot! The way the light is coming in through the windows…And, Heather’s pose it too adorable!

One of my favorite rooms that we shot in!!!

Heather, you are such a doll!!!

that since the beginning of the world there hasn’t been,
and until the end of the world there will not be,
another child like him.”

I just cannot tell you how much fun this family session was!!! When an old friend contacted me about photographing her family I was naturally excited. Even more excited when I found out who it was – MacKensie and I graduated high school together almost 10 years ago (man, how has it been 10 years???) We also happened to BOTH drive yellow slug bugs – so we had a bond right off the bat :) She has two darling little boys now and also had her whole family in town, so we met up Downtown for a family session. There were 14 family members in all, if I have the correct count – and they were all the best! So many smiles, hugs, and laughter caught on camera! By the time the session ended, I felt like part of the family! Getting hugs from all the sweet kiddos and watching them leave covered in lolli-pop stickiness! I could not have asked for a better afternoon session. It was SUCH a pleasure meeting all the family members, a few all the way in from London! I have so many favorites from this session – so beware, LOTS of pics in this sneak peek and even more than you can believe will be showing up in the gallery! Thank you all for an afternoon of fun! Can’t wait to capture memories for you in the future!

This shot makes me smile! The “perfect” family shot has nothing to do with everyone acting “perfect” but it has everything to do with everyone being themselves…
