this wedding was perfect start to finish!!!!

one of the best business decisions i have made in the past year is to take a weekend with my family. i shoot wedding’s most saturday’s so taking sunday and monday off have been a huge blessing in my life. both creatively and personally i have felt growth on so many levels. sitting my camera down and picking my little sunflower up. but, every now and then i just can’t help but catch her in action. and, bubbles were the main event along with watercolor painting and lots of sprinkler fun…never a dull moment with little auburn!

happy birthday to my very best friend and love, dusty porch. i just cannot imagine my life without your sweet smile, quiet humor, undying loyalty and lifetime of love.  you are the best man, best father, best friend a crazy girl like me could ask for. you keep me grounded while helping me reach for the stars…..you love with your entire heart and are fearless in every way. you never judge. you are always up for fun and always along for my silly ideas.  you were always meant to be a father and are the best daddy a little girl could ask for. she adores you and calls you her prince.  you play on the floor, spend hours building a backyard fort, even more hours filling out adoption paperwork for the journey to our baby boy….and, you do it all with a heart wide open and a courage i could only dream of. the best decision i ever made was saying “yes” to a 14 year old boy who asked me to “be his girlfriend…” there is no man i would rather walk hand in hand with all my days. happy birthday, babes…. thanks for being my everything and more. i am so very glad you were born 30 years ago today.

1. we are lifetime friends and were college roommates 2. we became more than friends. 3. we became family.

we take a roomie trip every year, sometimes more than one. this year we met in san fran and even brought along our “mini roomie” little auburn. we explored the city, talked for hours and hours. met up with my brother who lives in san fran. talked for more hours and hours. it was refreshing. uplifting. everything. we love to have a “no plan, plan” waking up each day with no real plans, just plans to be together and explore. I wish i would put into works what my roomies mean to me. they are constant support. forever love. and two of the funniest people alive. we help each other find our way in life. no matter where is leads. i am so forever thankful for these true and constant friends. can’t wait for our next roomie adventure! ps, i will take my child traveling the world FOREVER if she continues to be such an amazing little travel buddy! she was quite the trooper on the trip and kept up and kept us laughing the entire way. she LOVED the city! i love seeing her see the world. just love it!
