the beginning of august brings lots of birthday’s in our little world! three of my bridesmaid’s and life long friends – both my father and father in law – and lots of little kiddos we love all have birthday’s in the FIRST week of august. not to mention, my best friend kim whose birthday we went out to celebrate along with mega megan’s birthday. i am soooo beyond blessed with a group of  friends who have shared in so many amazing times with me. i brag and brag on how wonderful they are and just could not ever brag enough. megan and i met in high school and now live super close to each other in the city. it is GREAT! it is going to be a BIG 2011 coming up for her and i am so excited to share in the journey. dana and michael are home heading up an amazing summer camp (the theater camp auburn went to) so they were out with us as well. kim turned the big 2-9 and although we are a little sad to enter our 30’s we can’t wait for another decade of friendship and fun!

married six years today…..been together almost half our lives….love him more everyday….

babes….thanks for loving your girls so much. for rides in the boat around the lake. movie night snuggles. sno cones. baseball games. evening walks. road trips. poems. thanks for being our mr. fix it. for picking up the slack during my busy wedding season. for being my biggest fan. for your patience. thank you for being calm and collected when I am as all over the place as it gets. opposites attract. thank you for being my high school sweetheart. my life long love. I am so lucky to have found you when I was just 15 thank you for taking care of your girls. for teaching me new things….whether it be golf or tennis or how to cook an egg…. for loving us with all your heart. for being my best friend. for being a dreamer. you have the biggest heart of anyone i know…..I love you for it, and so many more reasons.

I have been so honored to be the Firehouse Art Center’s official photographer for their events this year! Such a wonderful organization that helps spread the love of arts to the community! If you have not looked at the fall schedule of classes, I encourage you to sign yourself or your child up for a class. They are amazing!! The midsummer nights’ fair took place at Lion’s Park in Norman and was filled with amazing artists of all kinds. From pottery to jewelry the booths were nothing short of wonderful! As always, many hands on art for the children. I loved seeing the kids deep in art – glazing their ceramic vases and bowls! Even building their own creatures out of clay. Auburn got a HUGE kick out of the glazing process! Along with the art was great music and yummy food! It all has me ready for next year and even more art and fun! Firehouse – YOU ROCK! Keep up the wonderful work and spreading the love of Arts!

…….OUT OF THE OFFICE…..

I will be out of the office beginning tomorrow, June 22nd – June 26th. I will be returning all phone calls and emails once I return.

…..Sea World bound…..

I put it off long enough, a few years…. I have been needing some new shots for upcoming promotional things and updated website and blog goodies. So, Kris Boevers Photography to the rescue!!!! Kris and I traded out services and got crackin’ on some new headshots for the both of us. We explored Classen and got some super fun shots near the studio. Man, LOVING all the new areas I am seeing lately. Good ole’ OKC never disappoints! Thanks so much, Kris! Had a blast shooting with you and laughing our heads off the entire time! goodness, we decided photographers should stay behind the camera, we turn into total goofs in front of it. We were both saying how lucky we are that our clients are much better models than us. We are just goofs Love ya, Kris!

Once again my best friend, Kimmy is on the cover. Man, who knew trashing her dress would get her this much cover time. Love you Kimmy, thanks for being so brave and trashing that dress!!!!

My amazing friend, Kelsey is just months away from her big day! She is marring her Danny mid-August, and we had to get the party started with a bridal shower at my place. Nothing is better than having a group of super fun gals over for the afternoon! we had amazing cake (thanks to the wonderful Carolina Cakes) some yummu crush, and played toilet paper bride (one of my personal faves). Kelsey got some AMAZING gifts, even ORANGE appliances. This is one wedding I cannot wait for, and not just because my little sunflower is the flower girl (she gets to wear a brown tutu and brown chucks!!! ahhhh!!!! so excited) but, because I simply ADORE Kels and Danny. You have never met two people more in love. Can’t wait for August, Kels, LOVE YOU!

This little two year old does not mind getting dirty, one bit! she is quite the little gardener – helping me all the time….Well, mostly picking the flowers and playing in the mud But, I don’t mind…When your fellow gardner is this adorable, you just have to soak it up!

Still getting lots of sneak peeks up. Wedding season is in total full swing and the Porch Family also just adopted a pup,  little trudy. Our newest family member is fitting in just great and keeping us on our toes. Photos to come of little miss trudy….

A happy birthday shout out to our dear friend, Priscila! It is her first birthday as a “mommy” to baby Mia and we could not be happier for the whole family. I just happened to get Mia’s birth announcements in today – and thought I would share. A lot of design work going on at Art and Soul Photography with Senior announcements in full swing Happy Birthday again Priscila! We love you!

Thirteen years ago today a very shy, very sweet, red headed guy asked me to be his “girlfriend.” We spent the next four years of high school side by side. Having fun, making memories, and even getting voted “couple most likely to get married” by our senior class. We have grown, explored, and loved each other each and every day. I have now been with my love half of my life. Nothing makes me happier than to be his wife. To wake up next to my dusty porch and fall asleep next to him every night. He is my best friend, the love of my life, and the amazing father to our little sunflower. Babes, I am so glad you held the door open for me after our basketball game 13 years ago. That you helped me to my seat and carried my bag while I was on crutches that night. That you called me later that evening and waited until the very last second on the phone to blurt out the fastest sentence in the world. “if you want to be my girlfriend, I would love for you to be” I am so glad I agreed. You are my love. always.

For the past few years now we have been celebrating Christmas Eve morning with the Porch Family (dusty’s mom and pop) We eat a yummy breakfast and open gifts in our p.j.’s – it is super fun, not to mention comfy We had a wonderful time this morning!!!! Lots of kiddos opening gifts all over the place! Auburn and Zoe now have enough baby dolls in their collection to start a day care of their own….Auburn had the gift opening DOWN!!! She was all over it….Cracked me up! Here are a few pics from the morning – lots more to come tomorrow when she gets her kitchen – can’t wait to see her face when she see it! dusty and I tried it out a bit during her nap, and I have to say, we enjoyed pretend cooking. Much more fun than real cooking….Merry Christmas Everyone!
