{long awaited…..}

It was so great to meet up with this family again. I met Shelly and Ashlee during a wedding consult a few months back, and they had decided it would be loads of fun to get some shots with their guys :) We met up at the Botanical Gardens to get some shots of the four of them. Bryan and Shelly will be married in April of next year (a wedding I just can’t wait for….going to be a FUN one for sure!!!) and we were able to get some cute engagement shots of them, and also capture some family photos. Matt and Ashlee are already hitched and were total pros in front of the camera!  They are planning on giving these pics out to the families for Christmas…perfect idea! We had SUCH a blast during the session. They are all four so fun, relaxed, hilarious!!!! Enjoy your sneak peek guys – can’t wait to work with you again!

They will be parting it up at the Colcord for the wedding reception….So, it was only fitting that we get a shot of the love birds in front of it :)

LOVE this shot….I am thinking they need it on canvas, for sure!

Love this Jumping shot….I promised them they would see this one on the website, for sure :)

Ashlee and Matt. So adorable!

WARNING!!!!! When you tell these four to have a leaf fight – they take it VERY serious!!!! It was an all out war!!! So funny to capture!!!

I had such a fun time getting to know this family!!!! Natalie contacted me a while back wanting to arrange a photo session for her parents. They are celebrating 25 years of marriage and she thought a family session would be a perfect gift for the two of them! I could not agree more…..We made our way around the Botanical Gardens (the park still has some amazing fall colors) on a perfectly overcast day. There is nothing photographers love more the an overcast sky :) I was able to get some fun group shots and some individual shots of the couples and kids. Thanks so much for being such troopers and giving me one heck of a jumping shot! Love it! Enjoy your sneak peek and happy anniversary!!

My new saying…..”A family that jumps together, stays together” :)

These two were the picture of love….

simply adorable….

mother and daughter…..adorable!

I LOVE this shot….

Such a kind and beautiful family!!!

{Fall morning with an ADORABLE Family!}

I started last Sunday morning with a family session. They were perfect in every way!!! Twin two year old boys and their older brother made me smile the entire session! We made our way around the Botanical Gardens exploring every inch of it. Seeing the ducks, picking the flowers (shhh…don’t tell) all while capturing some sweet smiles and brother tickle fights :) This family was so sweet! I could see so much love between them all. And…..if I ever think that I have to chase my one year old a lot, I got a glimpse of chasing times two! Talk about a workout! The chasing was well worth it and I am so excited about this gallery – so many shots of these sweet boys and their mom and dad. Enjoy your sneak peek! I thank you for choosing Art and Soul for your family holiday photos!

This session was such a blast! It was pretty cold out, but these two stayed cuddled up and warm during our Bricktown session. Kellie arranged for the drive down from Stillwater for the engagement session (no worries, she is an OU fan at heart) These two made my job so easy. Up for anything and ready to have some fun! I totally enjoyed getting to know them better and hearing more details about the June ‘09 wedding. It is going to be so much fun! I can’t wait to work with you both again, but I swear, there is not a day where my job feels like “work.” I love when my clients have fun and it shows in the photos!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Still loving life with my new fisheye lens…..

Lexie is just the best….she is such a little hippie with a true nature loving heart. we had a blast shooting her senior session and laughed the WHOLE time. Made our way around a new location that I just recently found – love all the graffiti walls and train tracks near by….I was a great spot for some creative photos that suited her well! I love all her photos and can’t wait to proof each and every one of these!!! Thanks for choosing Art and Soul, Lexie. This was such a fun wedding to be a part of! I could not wait to see Shelly in her dress – it was simply stunning! We started the day by capturing her “getting ready” photos at her home in Yukon. From there we made our way to Boulevard Chapel in Edmond. I had shot at the chapel before, but never an evening wedding. It was so lovely! The couple was surrounded by so many loved ones. Lots of little flower girls and kiddos running around everywhere, looking so cute in their dresses! I am in love with all the little details of the wedding. Everything was perfect, from the favor boxes to the amazing cake – perfection! Thank you both so much for choosing Art and Soul for you wedding! I can’t wait for you to see all your photos! Here is your sneak peek to hold you over a bit :)

a fun ring shot :)

Her shoes were amazing!

the ring bearer was so cute….running down the isle saying “momma, momma,momma”

down the isle…

kiss…kiss…

The first dance….

they are so adorable…..so in love!

I loved these favor boxes….all the guests got to store their chocolate dipped goodies in them!

ready…set….

THROW!

Let the dancing begin!

Congrats to you both, Shelly and Travis! It was so great working with you and getting to know you! I wish you all the best and can’t wait to work with you again in the future.

{Mia is almost here!}

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is being able to capture memories for those closest to me. Travis and Priscila are two of our dearest friends. We met long ago when we were students at UCO and have all been friends ever since! They are expecting a little bundle of joy in January and we CANNOT wait to meet baby Mia. She is going to be one loved and beautiful little girl! Enjoy your holiday / baby bump / family photos – we love you both so much and we are so excited to meet Mia!

She has the most adorable baby bump!

I just love these two….

Hand and hand…..starting the journey of parenthood :)

Love you two so much! Enjoy the last months as two…sleep in every chance you get. We are here for you if you ever need us! I can’t wait for Auburn and Mia to grow up together and be life long friends!

{Family photos and little Kanon!}

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

This family was just the cutest!!! We met on a very windy – very cold afternoon at Will Rogers Park. If there are two things I know as a photographer, it is that a session with a toddler is SUPER fast paced  - and a very cold weather session is even more fast paced!!! :) Despite the weather, little Kanon was so wonderful! Full of adorable expressions and sweet smiles. It was so wonderful to meet him and his great mom and dad. We got some cute family shots at the beginning of the session, then I chased the little guy around the park. He played in the leaves and blew bubbles, and then we were all frozen to the bone and called it a day. Thanks so much for choosing Art and Soul – and I am SO HAPPY to have captured your first family photos :) Enjoy your sneak peek!

Toddlers are fast….Good thing my camera is too :)

This shot would be adorable on canvas….

Look at that grin!!!! What a little charmer!

This weekend we were lucky enough to get our family holiday pictures taken by my close friend and talented photographer, Erin Darcy. She is visiting the states with her husband, Steven. They live in Ireand and are visiting for the month. We are SUPER thankful that she had time to capture our photos. We had the best time on our shoot. Auburn gave us just enough smiles and then she was pretty pooped out from all the fun. Dusty and I got some shots together – and it made us feel like kids again!!! We both had a great time and can’t thank Erin Darcy Photography enough! It gets tough to schedule in family photos for my own family during the holiday rush, I am so glad we did! Thanks so much Erin, you are so talented!!!! I am so thankful for our friendship and I am so glad we get the chance to catch up while you are home!!!

This one just might have to go on a canvas wrap…..

She had to have her baby doll in a few pics :)

And….a few of just us...

I love all the fun angles Erin captures!

this one is fun!

Loved the texture of the wall!

A game of peek-a-boo!

I love my hubby….He is my everything!

We have been together 14 years in January….I love him more everyday!

Erin made us feel so comfortable during the session….we could just be ourselves and have fun!

Thanks so much again Erin! You are the best!!!
