oh, these little ones just get me every time…..they are the best…..I went to high school with little lennon’s mama, greer, and she is as natural of a mother as they come. so loving and caring for her tiny man. well, he is not so tiny, i guess…..9 pound little guy we went and tried out shots once again at SWAK who have a yarn store right below my studio. they are so sweet to let us come in for pics every now and then. if you have never been in their store, it is AMAZING! thanks so much for sharing your sweet bundle, greer…..he is perfect in every way! hugs!

the beginning of august brings lots of birthday’s in our little world! three of my bridesmaid’s and life long friends – both my father and father in law – and lots of little kiddos we love all have birthday’s in the FIRST week of august. not to mention, my best friend kim whose birthday we went out to celebrate along with mega megan’s birthday. i am soooo beyond blessed with a group of  friends who have shared in so many amazing times with me. i brag and brag on how wonderful they are and just could not ever brag enough. megan and i met in high school and now live super close to each other in the city. it is GREAT! it is going to be a BIG 2011 coming up for her and i am so excited to share in the journey. dana and michael are home heading up an amazing summer camp (the theater camp auburn went to) so they were out with us as well. kim turned the big 2-9 and although we are a little sad to enter our 30’s we can’t wait for another decade of friendship and fun!

this little love sure does keep me on my toes. the summer months have flown by and have been so wonderful. three years is just so fun! just when i thought nothing could be better than my little two year old, she is blowing my mind with her three year old cuteness! changing so fast and lighting up our life, little sunflower…..ten things that i am loving about her right this second…..

1. her “morning kiss” she insists on giving me each morning.

2. when i tuck her in at night and head to leave the room she says “night momma, you are my bestest friend”

3. how she laughs at her own jokes. thinking everything she says is so funny and throwing her head back in laughter…

4. naked girl. naked girl. she is a summer nudest!!! the second she gets home she strips down to nothing and stays that way until bed. the girl loves to be in her birthday suit!

5.  princess lover……she LOVES to play princess. to talk about princess. her favorite is Belle. she LOVES belle!

6. disgusting and delicious. two words she learned a few weeks back. my favorite is when she gets them confused and says “yum, this cookie is disgusting!!”

7.  i love when she tells me “momma, i dreamed about ponies, horses, and unicorns last night”

8. her kindness.

9. her bossiness. having two close in age but older cousins means that she gets bossed around quite a bit. so, she gets bossy any chance she gets! with her dolls, trudy (our dog) and friends who come and play. i can only imagine how bossy she might be to a sibling someday

10. i love how much she is a momma / daddy girl. giving us HUGE hugs, wanting to snuggle. saying “who wants to play with me, it will be so fun guys” in her high pitch girlie voice…..i know that it won’t always be that she wants us around all the time, so we are soaking up every second.

Just a few of the million things i am loving about little miss auburn lately…..love you sunflower!

with a little brown eyed girl of my own, it is no surprise that I am a sucker for them….little cali was another little brown eyed girl that stole my heart! she was all a smiles and as cute as can be for our session! cali’s mom and I discovered we live in the same neighborhood as well as the fact that I knew her hubs during college. it is always fun to see how my photography business brings me into touch with so many people from the past! i love it! thanks for bringing cali to the studio – she is pure joy!

this session was AMAZING! I get a little nervous every time I have newborn TWINS on my calendar…but, i figured that after tackling triplets a few weeks back i was up for anything these two sweeties just made my day!! they were so sweet and after a little snuggling they were sound asleep for the shoot. alexis and chloe….such darling baby girls. and, SUCH A LOVING and sweet older sister! she was so patient during the session and was SO EXCITED for the shots of them! she has a comment for each and every picture lining the studio…”oh, so cute….oh, so cute” for all the baby pics of course…..can’t wait to watch these two grow! such fun!

I cannot tell you what the photos below mean to me….I am SUCH a daddy’s girl and always have been. There are just dad’s out there meant to be a dad to a little girl and my dad is one of those (my hubs is one of those dad’s too)…..It melts my heart to see him with auburn. to see the sparkle in his eye. to see her just like I was with him. curled up on his lap….begging him for candy that he ALWAYS has in his pocket….holding his hand…being the apple of his eye…..I just love the bond these two share. Happy Birthday to my dad, who is not fond of the computer and you never see him on one…..but, my mom is a certified bog stalker and might see this to pass his way I love you dad. thank you for being my lifelong hero, my biggest fan, and a constant supporter of all my dreams. I will NEVER forget you saying to me as a child “you can be whatever you want to be in life….I don’t care if you are a trash man as long as you love it..” well, dad, I have found my dream in life and the job I love. thanks for always letting me know that I could do anything! thanks for the example you set as a husband, father, papa and man. you taught me how to love and be loved. you are amazing and I  love you so much!!!! and, like we said every night before you tucked me into bed – “love you most, bestest, and everything!”

just loved this little guy~he was such a hoot! it was great planning this session with kinsey and she had the great idea of bringing up the classic truck for the session and it turned out perfect! he had a blast climbing around, honking the horn, and eating his sucker on the hood. I have SO MANY favorites from the session! here are just a few…
