I never knew what I was missing…..I had SO much fun at the Chocolate Festival last week! The Firehouse Art Center puts on this wonderful event every year in Norman!!! The chocolate festival is full of fun vendors and yummy chocolate of all kinds. Everything from cookies, fudge, wedding cakes, and carmel corn – everyone was in Chocolate Heaven!  I made my way around the event, capturing the kids art area where the little ones were hard at work on murals and clay – I LOVE creative kids! Makes for the best photos….I also was happy to meet many of the vendors and even get some yummy taste tests of the delicious goodies they offered!!! This is one event that I sure won’t be missing in the future. If you have never made it to the festival – be sure you attend next year – it is AMAZING! Look for more Firehouse Events on the blog, as I will be working with them throughout the year as their event photographer. It is an honor to be involved with an organization I truly respect!

I had such a fun session with this soon to be family of four! Little Addie and I became friends fast, and I had such a great time chasing her around the Botanical Gardens! Addie is about to be a big sister!!! Her mom, Kim, is expecting before too long – and I was so excited to hear that they are going to be surprised on delivery day. They are not finding out if it is a boy or girl! Addie did fill me in on her name choices for the baby, though….it was so cute Thank you guys so much for choosing Art and Soul for you family photos – I CAN’T wait to meet your baby boy or girl! It was such a pleasure meeting Sarah and Jacob! We met up on the campus of OU to do start Sarah’s maternity photos. It was SUCH a beautiful day!!! We made our way around campus, getting some super fun shots. I loved chatting away with these two, they are so fun-spirited! We laughed the entire session! Sarah and Jacob had some great outfit choices, with the perfect accessory….great smiles! I LOVE these images!!!! Our dear friends Travis and Priscila just added a baby girl to their family!!! We have been friends with Travis and Priscila since our college days back at UCO, and love them to pieces! During the ice storm a few weeks back I got a call that baby Mia was here! We live super close to Lakeside Hospital (best hospital EVER) so we headed over to meet the little princess! Little did we know that we were going to be the second people to meet her! We were defiantly honored! Auburn was SO excited to see baby Mia, since we have been talking about her arrival for some time now. I think she wanted to take her home with us to add to her doll collection I was so excited to sneak up to Edmond this week and spend some time with the happy family, and capture Mia’s first photos. She is so amazing. Just the sweetest little thing with big expressive eyes. So many favorites, but wanted to get a few up for Priscila. We love you guys so much! We are so happy for you and your beautiful baby girl! She is beautiful beyond words… We are thankful for the years of friendship we have had and are so excited to share in the journey of parenthood with you. Auburn and Mia are going to have so much fun growing up together!!!!!

It is not often that I get to see a shot like below from a  photo shoot…But, since Randy and I have been shooting together he gave me a little behind the scenes peek from one of our sessions last week. As you can see, I don’t work alone….In the black and white photo I have a trusty side kick…Dancing Elmo helping me get some smiles And the color shot I love…Everyone hard at work getting smiles. How much I lOVE these two……Around our house they are simply known as Aunt Kelsey and Uncle Danny, because Auburn ADORES the both of them. She gets so excited when they come over to play and shows off something fierce for them. The engagement session was nothing but fun…We explored Western and got some super fun shots all up and down the crazy road. It can be pretty eventful in that area, so we got a few laughs along the way. I just can’t get enough of these images. These two are so in love….Have been dating since the 8th grade, I think it is…They are perfection. A true example of soul mates. best friends. and soon to be husband and wife! I am SO EXCITED to be a part of the special day, and Auburn too as the flower girl. It is going to be the best….Much more of these two coming up – we will get started on round two of Engagement shot before to long I am sure Danny can’t wait, right Kels?…HeeHee…You two make me smile. We love you so much and know you will have the most wonderful life together…..Happy Engagement!

There is just about nothing better than shooting an 8 month old…..It is such an adorable age! They can sit up on their own…big smiles..still lots of baby chub..it is the BEST! It was a pretty chilly morning for our session, but we still were able to get some super sweet shots before she pooped out. Elizabeth let me know that her little sweetie LOVED Elmo (we have an Elmo obsessed baby girl at home too) so they broke the Elmo doll out of the car and we were in BUSINESS! Meet little Sophie! She is such a sweetheart! Her mom, Lauren, contacted me with their adoption story a while back and we were finally able to match our schedules to capture the session. I am so glad we were able to meet up….They shared their adoption story with me and it was very touching. Soon after the adoption of little Sophie, they were blessed with baby Sam. Big blue eyes and as sweet as can be. He was a bit sleepy towards the end of our session, but we were still able to get some adorable shots of him. It was great to meet you all! I wish  that words could explain how wonderful my studio session was with little miss gisele…..she is so adorable….perfect little baby chub…big expressive eyes….pure heaven!!! It was so great meeting her mom, Kat. We discovered that not only do we use the same hair stylist, but that we are the same age and both went to school in Norman. It was so great chatting away with her. I asked her how she kept from just eating her little sweetie up 24 hours a day…She let me know that it is impossible – she is too cute to ever set down!
