{Brea….Senior 2009!}

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

It was so good to FINALLY get to shoot Brea’s senior session…..We got rained out twice and then one day we tried to shoot, it was BEYOND WINDY!!! So, when we got a good day we took advantage of it and did a downtown session. We had a great time making our way around Bricktown. Brea had adorable outfits and it was so good getting to know her…..I can’t wait for our spring session! Thanks for choosing Art and Soul for your senior photos, Brea!

We were still able to catch a few fall colors :)

Art and Soul Photography recently found a few new locations to call home. Now featured on the following:

OKC Wedding Ideas

Keep a look out for Art and Soul’s feature ad on the website and

in the February catalog listing!

And, also listed on Elizabeth Anne Design.

A wonderful site for brides who are looking for unique personal touches for their wedding!

I hope both of these sites can be helpful to my 2009 wedding couples!

Doing some major catching up in the blog world!!! Seeing a little bit of a light at the end of the gallery filling, christmas card designing, order filling tunnel! December has proved to be a busier month for weddings, believe it or not, and after last night I have become a HUGE fan of the holiday themed wedding!! Everything from the music, to the decorations – last night was PERFECT! It always makes for a fun wedding when you get to hang the bride’s wedding shoes in a Christmas tree for photos :) Amanda and Blake are beyond adorable! So much love between the two of them. Making things even sweeter was Reid, the son of the bride. A three year old ball of energy who had everyone cracking up all night. He was the cutest! The reception was filled with laughter, beautiful piano playing and some AMAZING cake! I was so honored to be a part of such a special day. Thank you Amanda and Blake for choosing Art and Soul Photography! You two are a perfect pair!

I am wayyyyy behind on blog posting….But, I promised to share a session close to my heart! Meet sweet little Dakota! She was such a doll at our session! It was super freezing out, so we shot in studio. It was great capturing the love the three of them had. I was honored to capture her adoption photos. Dakota and her family are in the final stages of her adoption, and they participated in Celebrating Adoption photo session.  Thank you so much for the pleasure of capturing your first photos as a family! Congrats on the adoption of your beautiful little girl!

With August – December being my busiest months for photography, I have been filling the blog with lots of new families! I can’t get over what amazing clients I have…..They so quickly turn into not only clients, but wonderful friends! My little sweetie usually makes a weekly appearance on the photo blog, but I have been a bit of a slacker during the busy holiday months. That being said, thought I would share a few that caught my eye in the mountains of “little sunflower” photos that fill my computer….She sure is growing!!! Getting so tall and learning SO much!!! She is ALL about colors and shapes, her ABC’s, and drawing all over EVERYTHING…..I can’ wait for her Uncle Michael and Aunt Dana to see her, they get in this week from California!!! They have not seen her since last Christmas, and they are sure to be in for a shock at how much of a little girl she now is.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful start the the holiday season! Sneak peeks from a wonderful Adoption session with little Miss Dakota – and Brea’s senior shoot coming SOON!

sometimes we call her the “smile machine” she is a happy little thing :)

She was SO excited to check out the ducks!!!

{charlotte / take two}

Friday, December 5, 2008

I had the pleasure of meeting little Miss Charlotte a few months back. She is such a little sweetie! She had missed her morning nap and although we got some adorable shots…..

she simply refused to crack a smile!! I used all my tricks and wound up looking like a crazy woman (how I look during most of my sessions….) So, we tried again over the weekend to get some family shots. Charlotte did not let us down, she was in a wonderful mood and gave me plenty of smiles! We shot in studio because it was FREEZING out, and it proved to be the perfect spot for her to explore and be full of happiness! Take Two = Success! You guys are great!

I have had so much fun designing the Christmas Cards for this years clients! Here are a few of my favorites from this week! Just a reminder, this Sunday is the cutoff for Holiday cards orders. I extended it a few weeks to give everyone a chance for ordering :) But, this being the busiest time of year for photographers, I have set a cutoff for my own sanity…If you have any questions about placing your order, just shoot me an email and I will get you set up with a holiday card friends and family are sure to remember!

Card Information: All cards are 4×6 or 5×7 and can be ordered in sets of 25. They are press printed on a linen textured card stock and come with envelopes. You pick the card and photo of choice.

I have the BEST clients – and the most adorable families!!!
